Ruthann Degutis & Joshua Paulin
Biddeford Pool, ME, July 17, 2010

Photography by Geneve Hoffman

Ruthann DeGutis and Joshua Paulin met online through a national dating service and ultimately chose a wedding date of the third anniversary of when they first met. The two finance professionals were definitively on the same page about their July afternoon seaside wedding communicating their unique sentiment, signature style, and savvy. They were in equal agreement about the setting of their ceremony and celebration – the cherished Maine seaside Paulin family compound where his grandparents reside. The bride and groom streamlined their budget with small decisions—such as having the chairs from the backyard ceremony moved, during the cocktail hour, into the tent for dinner— leaving room for other small indulgences, such as three flower girls, ages five to eight, who walked the couple’s precious, pearl-wearing Pomeranian, Miss Boo, down the aisle on a pink leash.
