After connecting on match.com, Fallon and Bill met for a drink in April 2009. Although she was initially skeptical about online dating, the pair hit it off instantly. An in-person meeting for a quick drink turned into a five-hour conversation that ended only because the bar closed. By October, Bill was spreading a blanket for a picnic, uncorking a bottle of wine, reciting a love letter he crafted, and asking Fallon to marry him. “It just felt right,” she says.
Fallon chose to return to her hometown of Duxbury, Massachusetts, to tie the knot. An ocean-side estate across the street from Fallon’s childhood home was the perfect setting to celebrate the couple’s love of the outdoors amidst their favorite colors of green and blue

He is a Republican. She is not. She loves the city. He does not. But after “meeting” online and dating for two years, Paul and Kristyn realized that they had a lot more in common than not. They started talking about marriage. Then in May 2009, Paul proposed while they were walking their dog in a nearby park. “I wasn’t totally surprised,” Kristyn says, “but I still cried.” They began their search for a venue in York, Maine, where her sister lives. “We knew we wanted it to be on the water. And we knew it was going to be a small wedding, which made it a little harder to find the right place.” They just kept going up the coast. A caterer they interviewed recommended Library Hall on Bailey Island, and then everything started to fall into place.
