After connecting on match.com, Fallon and Bill met for a drink in April 2009. Although she was initially skeptical about online dating, the pair hit it off instantly. An in-person meeting for a quick drink turned into a five-hour conversation that ended only because the bar closed. By October, Bill was spreading a blanket for a picnic, uncorking a bottle of wine, reciting a love letter he crafted, and asking Fallon to marry him. “It just felt right,” she says.
Fallon chose to return to her hometown of Duxbury, Massachusetts, to tie the knot. An ocean-side estate across the street from Fallon’s childhood home was the perfect setting to celebrate the couple’s love of the outdoors amidst their favorite colors of green and blue
Although they knew each other in high school, Jessica and Brian didn’t connect as a couple until after high school. They became engaged in August 2010. Both own boats and knew their wedding site had to be on the water. Having been to a wedding at The Nonantum before, it wasn’t difficult to agree on the stunning Kennebunkport resort. The couple was thrilled with the level of service The Nonantum brought to their Big Day. Even the weather was perfect. Notoriously (and self-admittedly) late, the biggest thing Jessica had to worry about was being on time. But the on-site wedding coordinator took care of her. “When she came up to alert me that it was time and saw I wasn’t even in my dress yet, she knew she had to stall the boat.” Literally. The groom and groomsmen arrived at the ceremony via The Nonantum’s sailboat, which just tread water while the bride finished getting ready. For this happy couple, it was truly better late than never!
