After connecting on match.com, Fallon and Bill met for a drink in April 2009. Although she was initially skeptical about online dating, the pair hit it off instantly. An in-person meeting for a quick drink turned into a five-hour conversation that ended only because the bar closed. By October, Bill was spreading a blanket for a picnic, uncorking a bottle of wine, reciting a love letter he crafted, and asking Fallon to marry him. “It just felt right,” she says.
Fallon chose to return to her hometown of Duxbury, Massachusetts, to tie the knot. An ocean-side estate across the street from Fallon’s childhood home was the perfect setting to celebrate the couple’s love of the outdoors amidst their favorite colors of green and blue
Carolena and Philip chose a Maine destination wedding and they were not disappointed with their decision to marry in the state where Philip’s family has a home. A perfect day of sun, blue sky, and 70-degree temperatures greeted the couple, then living in New York City, on their wedding day where they had the lovely Newagen Seaside Inn to themselves. They carefully chose vendors to help their vision unfold, fusing New York style and Maine locally sourced food. The couple crafted a unique ceremony where their three dads—his, hers, and his stepfather—served as officiants. Philip and Carolena’s rings were designed by her parents, jewelry designers who have been in the wedding business for 25 years (Elsa Rings, Farmingdale, NY), bringing in one more family tie to the wedding of a couple who share a love of spending time with family and friends. And they enjoyed this wedding so much they are having another in Lima, Peru, where Carolena’s mother’s family is from.
